Dear Ali,

As soon as I could I got into your book and then read it from cover to cover. Your 'writings' are so poignant, they are poems to me even if you don't feel you are a poet.

To me the Art of most interest is always that which has a melancholy note, if it hasn't one then I'm not sure it's creator has truely experienced other dimensions of existence, and if they have then not deeply. Your courage in expressing your most personal thoughts in such an elegantly simple and natural way has comforted and helped me greatly as I navigate through the confusion of my own experiences and feelings.

Wishing you great luck with 'Sad Man Dancing' and many thanks for the beautiful inscription you wrote in my copy.

With much appreciation,
